Real Betis president Ramon Alarcon has confirmed that. He is in the process of signing Antony from Manchester United but is not rushing the process.

The Brazil international impressed on loan at Betis, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in 25 games. As the team reached the Europa Conference League final and finished sixth in La Liga.สมัคร UFABET

Antony is set to return to the Red Devils for pre-season but the club are believed to be keen to offload him. With Betis making it clear they are keen to bring him to Old Trafford.

“We are working, we are working… It’s too early. We are taking it step by step because there is still a lot of time in the market. It will take a long time and we haven’t even started seriously yet,” Alarcon told Estadio Deportivo.

Man Utd want £32.5m for Antony, while Betis are hoping to loan him again next season. But this time with a buy clause.

To bridge the gap, Betis proposed a unique ‘joint ownership’ model. Where they would initially purchase a percentage of Antony’s rights before gradually increasing their stake over a three-year period.

This would allow United to receive a larger fee than the asking price – albeit over time.
